作品について / Program notes:
パヴァーヌとは16-17世紀の宮廷舞曲でとても優雅な踊りだそうです。
譜面は単純で、始めのメロディーは「ド－シ－ラ－ソ－ファ－ミ」という音階で出来ています。この音階でどれだけ感動させられるかがポイントです。後半のダンスは6/8の軽快なもので、どちらかといえば技巧的な部分です。途中スローな部分も出てきますが、すぐにテンポは戻り、そのままフィナーレをむかえます。

Pavane is a slow processional court dance common during the 16th century. It is fairly simple, and the beginning melody consists of C, B, A, G, F, E. It is important to sing as lyrically as possible from this simple scale. The latter half is a 6/8 light dance and rather technical. It slows at times but the tempo refreshes towards the finale.
