★MGA に関して
1955年、流麗なボディをラダーフレームの上に架装したAシリーズがMGブランドにおける2座席オープンカーとして登場した。

1962年までに101,081台が製造され、過半数以上が北米、西ヨーロッパ諸国、日本、オセアニアなどに輸出された。

全金属製のラダーフレームに、エンジン、トランスミッション、リアアクスルなどを架装し、その上に空力設計を大きく考慮した金属製のボディを載せてあり、床板は合板である。

フロントサスペンションは、アッパーアームがレバー式ショックアブソーバーのアームを兼ねるウイッシュボーン式、リアサスペンションは半楕円7枚リーフ式によるリジッドアクスルであり、
駆動方式はFR、4速MTを装備していた。

搭載されるパワーユニットは、1500ccの直列4気筒OHVエンジンであった。

In 1955, the A-Series, featuring a sleek body mounted on a ladder frame, was introduced as the MG brand's two-seater open-top car.

By 1962, 101,081 units had been produced, with the majority exported to North America, Western Europe, Japan, Oceania, and other regions.

The engine, transmission, rear axle, and other components were mounted on an all-metal ladder frame, with a metal body designed with significant aerodynamic considerations on top, and the floor was made of plywood.

The front suspension was a wishbone type with upper arms that doubled as lever-type shock absorber arms, and the rear suspension was a rigid axle with seven semi-elliptical leaf springs.
The drivetrain was rear-wheel drive with a four-speed manual transmission.

The power unit was a 1500cc inline-four-cylinder OHV engine.
