パンダシリーズの2代目として2003年にデビュー、ロベルト・ジョリートによるデザインはSUV的5ドアのハイトボディのフォルムである。

4x4 クライミングの駆動方式はフルタイム４WDで、トランスミッションは5速MTである。

最低地上高は160mm、4輪駆動システムには、前輪用と後輪用2つの専用ディファレンシャルギアの装備に加えて前後輪の駆動トルク配分を自動制御するビスカスカップリング式を採用。

アプローチアングル（進入許容角度）は24度、デパーチャーアングル（脱出許容角度）は42度、またランプアングル（突起物乗り越え許容角度）は24度とし、50％以上の勾配でも走破することが可能である。

リアサスペンションには、独立懸架型トレーリングアームを採用し、デュアル&サイドエアバッグ、ABS＋EBD（電子制御式制動力配分機構）、盗難防止としてフィアットコードII(イモビライザー)を装備する。

搭載される直列4気筒SOHC8バルブエンジンは1240ccの排気量から、最高出力60ps(44kW)/5000rpm、最大トルク10.4kg・m(102N・m)/2500rpmを発揮した。

Debuted in 2003 as the second generation of the Panda series, the design by Roberto Giolito is an SUV-like 5-door high-riding body.

The 4x4 Climbing is a full-time 4WD with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The minimum ground clearance is 160mm, and the 4WD system is equipped with two dedicated differential gears for the front and rear wheels, as well as a viscous coupling system that automatically controls the distribution of drive torque between the front and rear wheels.

The approach angle (allowable angle for approaching) is 24 degrees, the departure angle (allowable angle for exiting) is 42 degrees, and the ramp angle (allowable angle for going over protruding objects) is 24 degrees, making it possible to traverse gradients of over 50%.

The rear suspension uses an independent trailing arm, and the car is equipped with dual and side airbags, ABS + EBD (electronic brake force distribution), and Fiat Code II (immobilizer) to prevent theft.
