2010年10月18日16:40に恩賜上野動物園から京都市動物園に到着したゴリラのモ
モタロウが，今年で在園満11年となり，ゲンタロウはモモタロウが来園した時の
年齢である10歳を迎えます。そこで，モモタロウが来園した際の受入の様子やゲ
ンキとの同居・交尾の様子を御紹介するページを開設しました。

会に10年前の来園当初のモモタロウ，ゲンキの様子をご覧いただければと思います。

飼育日誌より
本日も，0008Ｆ（ゲンキ）および0014Ｍ（モモタロウ）の同居を実施。
　時間および場所：午前9時30分から午前11時45分まで西グラウンド，
　　　　　　　　　午後2時30分から午後3時45分まで1，2番寝室およびシュート。
　午前中は，ゲンキがモモタロウを見つめながら近寄っていたが，モモタロウはディスプレイをしつつ逃げ気味であった。2頭で近接して座ったりもしていた。
　午後の室内同居では，開始20分間はゲンキがモモタロウに近寄ったり，追いかけたりしていた。　
　開始から約20分後，交尾が成立。モモタロウは，室内での同居の間，体を痙攣させ，頬を震わせ，短く鳴いていた。これにゲンキが反応して，モモタロウに近寄っているような印象を受けた。　
　モモタロウは，本日の同居の間で，計3回このように鳴いており，そのうち１回の後に交尾が見られた。体位は後背位→正常位→後背位と移行し，挿入が確認できた。ゲンキの陰部およびモモタロウのペニスに，精液の付着は確認できなかった。

Excerpts from observation records
Genki and Momotaro will live together again today.
Time and place：9:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the West Field.
　　　　　　　　2:30 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. in bedrooms 1 and 2 and in the connecting corridor.
　In the morning, Genki approached Momotaro while looking at him, but Momotaro seemed to be running away while displaying.They also sat close to each other.
　In the afternoon indoor co-habitation, Genki approached and chased Momotaro for the first 20 minutes.　
　About 20 minutes after the start, mating took place. During the indoor co-habitation, Momotaro's body twitched, his cheeks quivered, and he made short cries. I got the impression that Genki was reacting to this and was approaching Momotaro.　
　Momotaro made this sound a total of three times during today's cohabitation, and mating was observed after one of them. The position was shifted from Doggy Style to Normal to Doggy Style, and insertion was confirmed. No semen was found on Genki's vulva or Momotaro's penis.
