無印良品は世界の洗濯の風景を求めて旅に出ました。布が太陽の光を浴び、風にそよいで乾いていく。そんな世界共通の営みに、水や空気のように暮らしを支えたいという無印良品の思いを重ね、自分たちのあるべき姿を見つめ直しました。

ギリシャ
独特な街の風貌を持つ、地中海の風が吹き渡るギリシャの小島。白く光る斜面に建つ家々に、鮮やかに塗られた窓や扉。ひるがえる洗いたての布に、遠くにのぞく青い海。白が強い日差しを映し返し、空気までが照らされ、透き通っています。

MUJI set out on a journey to capture laundry scenes from around the world. Bathed in sunlight and swaying in the breeze, clothes dry naturally in the open air. Focusing on this simple, universal ritual, MUJI has reflected on our aspiration to support and enrich daily life, like air and water, encouraging us to rethink the direction we should be taking.

Greece
This small island is known for its distinctive cityscape and the refreshing Mediterranean breezes. The houses, built on a gleaming white slope, boast brightly painted windows and doors. Freshly washed clothes flutter in the wind, backed by the distant, deep blue of the ocean. The bright white structures reflect the intense sunlight, and even the air seems illuminated and clear.
