Calculation of appearances ###
XI with the most appearances are the 11 players who played for the most minutes during the competition.
If some players tie for eleventh place, the one who appeared longer in the later (knockout) state is selected.

Additional time at the end of each half is not included in the calculation since it is not on Major football websites
although extra 30 minutes after a tied match are included.


How to clarify the club each player belonged to ###
Data about the club he belonged to at the time is sometimes inconsistent across websites.
That's why this video follows its own rule below in order to narrow them down to a single club.

A trivial rule: The transfer was complete once he had a contract with his new club even before He made his debut there.

To be more exact, his appearances before and after his transfer are compared.

Amaral transferred from Guarani to Corinthians in the middle of the 1978 World Cup. However, it is unclear which is the club where he belonged longer during the World Cup. This video shows only Guarani ( 4:50 ).

If the Seleção won the title, Both of the clubs could be shown as follows.
