A place-based archive is a deliberately focused, long-term practice of documenting one specific place continuously over time.

Gujo Archive (gujodotcom) is a living example based in Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan. We document the region through field-generated recording and latent historical materials — focusing on Gujo Odori, Shiratori Odori, festivals, and daily life, updated daily.

This is a geographically fixed, deeply sustained digital archive that connects the memory of a place to the future.
